Since the sample stage is heated, it is convenient for spin coating liquids with poor spreadability, such as wax, when the substrate is not sufficiently warmed. The rotation speed can be set within the range of 0 to 6000 RPM for one minute, with a precision of ±1 RPM or less, which is very good. You can simultaneously set "rotation speed," "acceleration/deceleration time," and "keep time" for one-step operations, and it is also characterized by the ease of achieving desired conditions with a program of 10 steps and 100 patterns (with prior notice, 20 steps and 50 patterns, or 50 steps and 20 patterns are also possible). The safety cover has a drop hole (with a sliding lid) that allows for dripping even while rotating. One of the frequently received requests is to "make the inexpensive ACT-220AII a heating type." It is possible to manufacture the cup size at φ220mm. However, the standard model ACT-220AII is specifically designed to be small and inexpensive, with no space to accommodate the additional electronics required for customization. Therefore, the custom heating type would be an entirely different device, differing from the electronic circuit board. The only thing that can be the same is the cup size. Whether the cup size is manufactured at φ220mm or φ300mm, there will be no difference in external dimensions or cost. For this reason, the current challenge is that being able to spin coat up to a φ100mm (□70mm) substrate is sufficient. Even if the spin coater's cup size is φ220mm, many cases consider the possibility of wanting to spin coat larger substrates in the future, leading to requests for a cup size of φ300mm.
