According to JIS, the detection rate for substances such as ortho-phthalic acid, L-glutamic acid, and tartaric acid is set at over 95% based on potassium hydrogen phthalate; however, there are no specifications regarding the detection rate for potassium hydrogen phthalate itself. 【Application Development】 ■ Measurement of Total Nitrogen - The sample water is combusted and oxidized, and the generated high concentration of nitrogen oxides is detected through an NOx converter using an infrared meter. ■ Measurement of Total Phosphorus - The sample water is combusted and oxidized, and the generated phosphoric acid is trapped in a liquid trap. A color reagent is added, and detection is performed using the spectrophotometric method (Molybdenum Blue). ■ Measurement of Oil Content - The oil content in the sample water is transferred to a solvent (n-hexane), and the phase-separated portion is placed in a combustion tube where the solvent is dried.
