Biodegradable fibers and threads made from cellulose-based biodegradable resins.
The main component is cellulose-based biodegradable resin! Here is an introduction to the biodegradable fibers and threads developed by our company.
Our company has developed biodegradable fibers and threads primarily composed of cellulose-based biodegradable resins. Many biodegradable resins are derived from petroleum or, even when sourced from biomass, often use edible materials such as corn, sugarcane, grains, and tubers, raising concerns about competition with human food supply. However, cellulose-based biodegradable resins are particularly favorable as they are made from non-edible cellulose, making them a preferable material from the perspective of raw materials.

We are a chemical company that researches, develops, manufactures, and sells cutting-edge materials and technologies in the environmental and energy sectors aimed at building a decarbonized society. We are developing various advanced materials and technologies, including natural biomass-based biodegradable plastics (resins), biomass coating materials, biomass inks, next-generation solar cells, next-generation secondary batteries, next-generation fuel cells, quantum dots, metal-organic frameworks, ionic liquids, deep eutectic solvents, and cellulose nanofibers. Our original brand, Nano Sakura, under GS Alliance, significantly enhances the functional properties of raw materials by "compositing" cellulose nanofibers, which are the main component of plants, with various existing resin materials, resulting in an environmentally friendly, next-generation high-performance advanced material. We also offer products made from 100% natural materials derived from natural biomass waste resources such as wood, plants, bamboo, paper, recycled paper, seaweed, and starch, aiming for a grade with zero petroleum usage, striving to create materials that are as environmentally friendly as possible. We have been selected as a startup support program company by UNOPS, a United Nations-related organization. UNOPS S3i Innovation Centre Japan
