Cole-Parmer's KATANAX glass bead production machine and alkaline fusion device offers three models: "K1 Prime (produces 1 piece)", "X-300 (produces 1-3 pieces simultaneously)", and "X-600 (produces 6 pieces simultaneously)." By heating and stirring samples, flux, and release agents in a platinum crucible, and then pouring them into a platinum mold after degassing, it is possible to produce homogeneous glass beads with a good surface condition. Additionally, it allows for safe alkaline fusion.
