The skin bran that cannot usually be removed during the milling process is eliminated using a dry method (without water). Since no water is used, it reduces wastewater treatment costs and the maintenance costs of septic tanks.
The Kapika DP series dry non-washing rice machine removes approximately 0.8% of the surface bran from white rice by weight without using any water or media, resulting in shiny, clean rice. 【Processing Capacity】 DP-370: 240–300 kg/h DP-1100N: 1000–1200 kg/h DP-1500: 1600–2100 kg/h 【Features】 ■ Minimal bran adhesion on the rice surface With almost no dirt or bran on the rice surface, there are fewer bacteria, reduced oxidation, and extremely low insect occurrence. In addition to long-lasting storage when placed in a rice container, the taste of the rice improves. ■ Low cost, high yield, easy operation The durability of consumable parts is almost equivalent to that of vertical rice milling machines. Being dry, it can be installed at a low cost. The operation is the same as that of a rice milling machine, requiring no complicated procedures. It can operate simultaneously with the rice milling machine (interlocking type), allowing the polishing work to be completed within the milling time. There is very little breakage during polishing, resulting in a high yield. ■ Significant savings on washing water Compared to the amount of washing water used in regular rice milling, washing water can be reduced to one-fifth, leading to substantial savings on water and sewage costs in commercial rice cooking.

basic information
**Points for Finishing Beautiful, Glossy Rice** By increasing the overall length in relation to the diameter of the roll, the retention time of white rice inside the machine is extended, allowing the removal of the bran layer on the surface using a specially processed wire mesh. Through blowing and suction, the bran layer removed from the surface of the white rice is efficiently expelled outside. The gap between the wire mesh and the roll is narrowed to about the size of two rice grains, effectively removing the surface layer due to the high polishing effect on the surface of the white rice.

■Introduction Yamamoto Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is a machinery manufacturer founded in 1918 in Tendo City, Yamagata Prefecture. We have gained the top market share in Japan for agricultural machinery, particularly grain dryers and straw cutters. "Because we are a company that has walked alongside agriculture, we want to contribute to improving the global environment that supports food production." This desire, combined with our cultivated technology, led to the creation of the polystyrene reduction machine "High Melter." Through the provision of our products, we aim to create a bright future for the industry together with those who are challenging themselves in the recycling industry (*). That is our mission. ■Thoughts on Development The concept of a "circular economy," which views discarded items as resources and aims to circulate resources without generating waste, is gaining attention. However, the recycling industry (*), which plays a significant role in this, does not receive much public interest, and many companies are struggling with labor shortages. Through manufacturing, we want to shine a spotlight on this industry and bring about change. This is the sentiment embedded in all the environmental equipment produced by Yamamoto Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (*) In contrast to the "arterial industries" that produce goods, industries that collect, recycle, reuse, process, and dispose of waste are referred to as "venous industries," likening them to the circulation of blood in the human body.
