16-channel surge protector SP016HD compatible with AHD/HD-TVI/HDCVI/composite video (rack mountable)!
The SP016HD is a 16-channel surge protector compatible with AHD/HD-TVI/HDCVI composite video transmitted via coaxial cable (BNC connector). It is a 1U size that can be mounted in a 19-inch rack and allows for the connection of up to 16 video channels. It diverts surges caused by induced lightning or other sources on the transmission cable to ground before reaching the equipment. The surge protector should be installed as close as possible to the equipment that needs protection. When protecting a camera, it should be placed near the camera, and when protecting a monitor or DVR, it should be installed near the monitor/DVR. The basic surge protection strategy is to install devices on both the camera side and the display device (monitor) side. If the SP016HD is installed on the monitor side, additional SP009 (for one channel) units can be installed for each camera wiring on the camera side.
