Polyamide grade with antibacterial properties
The antibacterial polyamide resin from EMS Chemie (a major Swiss polyamide manufacturer) was developed to prevent bacterial growth on the surfaces of products made with this material. Testing conducted in accordance with the JIS Z 2801:2010 standard showed that bacterial growth on the surfaces of products using antibacterial polyamide was reduced by over 99%. This indicates that antibacterial conditions that inhibit bacterial proliferation exist on the product surfaces. The intended applications include medical and healthcare products, handrails and handles in public transportation systems, office applications such as keyboards and telephones, and in the automotive industry for door openers and various buttons and keys that people directly touch.
