In general bioimaging, 3D images are obtained by continuously measuring 2D images in the depth direction. However, this product, the "Holographic Microscope for Cell Observation 3D Cell Explorer," utilizes holography and tomography technologies to measure the differences in refraction within cells in three dimensions with a single measurement, producing high-resolution digital images on the nanometer scale that exceed the diffraction limit of light almost instantaneously. High-resolution images can be captured in just a few seconds, and by digitally staining them, it allows for comprehensive observation of the cell interior from various perspectives. The laser light used is a weak laser that does not impact the cells, enabling non-invasive measurements to observe the cells in their natural state.
