Silos are very important equipment that require explosion protection. Many ignition sources, such as high-temperature surfaces, electrical equipment, static electricity accumulation and discharge, sparks released by metal foreign objects during air filling, or even the spontaneous ignition of simply bioactive substances, increase the risk of explosion. If it is not possible to eliminate all potential ignition sources, it is necessary to structurally protect the silo. This includes explosion venting devices (such as EGV type) that can be assembled on outdoor silos, as well as frameless explosion venting devices (such as Q-Box / Q-Rohr) and explosion suppression (Q-Bic) for indoor use. We provide sanitary explosion isolation valves for food and pharmaceutical processes. For processes that require sanitation, explosion venting devices certified by EHEDG, such as the EGV HYP type, and the Q-Rohr combined with the sanitary explosion venting device ERO type, are suitable for explosion protection. In some processes, preventive measures can also be taken. For example, as a preventive safety measure to prevent the entry of ignition sources into the silo, a remotely operated fire extinguisher or a wireless detector combined with an explosion isolation valve can be used.
