By constructing an open-space sound field model for simulation, we can evaluate the soundproof walls under development within a virtual sound field model, achieving a reduction in development time and costs. ◆Cabin noise generated by inputs to the tires from the road surface during vehicle operation When a vehicle is in motion, vibrational forces act on the tires from the road surface, causing various parts of the vehicle body to vibrate and generating noise (road noise) inside the cabin. By creating simulation models of the vehicle body structure and the acoustic space of the cabin, we can virtually evaluate the geometry of the suspension, bush characteristics, or the resonance characteristics of the vehicle body panels necessary for reducing road noise, enabling the development of a quiet vehicle in a short time and at low cost.
