The "XC8110/XC8111 series" is a load switch that employs a fold-back method, allowing it to be used safely even during short circuits. It reproduces an ideal diode and is equipped with chip enable (CE), overcurrent limiting, and other features. **Summary (Excerpt)** When a voltage is applied to the VOUT terminal and exceeds VIN - 20mV, the driver FET is turned off. Furthermore, when the voltage at the VOUT terminal exceeds VIN + 20mV, the internal power supply of the IC switches from VIN to VOUT. This prevents reverse current from flowing to the VIN terminal through the parasitic diode from the VOUT terminal, while also blocking the current flowing from VIN to the IC.
