This is an acrylic sheet made using the cell cast method, which absorbs visible light and transmits near-infrared light (670 to 1500 nm). (The transmission wavelength varies by part number.) It has a high smoothness comparable to glass while being easy to shape. Additionally, since it is not a coated type, there is no angle dependence. With low haze and low retardation, it is less likely to cause malfunctions even with high-precision sensors, making it suitable for active infrared sensors such as ToF sensors, 3D scanners, and biometric authentication. Functional enhancements can also be added through coatings such as hard coatings (6H to 8H), anti-reflective coatings, and water-repellent coatings.
