This product is a runner vane used in the water turbine of a hydropower generator. The runner vane is a component that serves the role of blades in the turbine, requiring high strength to withstand water pressure and the energy of flowing water. This time, we performed a total machining of one piece. The material, SUS630H1100, is a precipitation-hardening stainless steel, which has been made high-strength and high-hardness without significantly reducing corrosion resistance. Its advantages also indicate poor machinability, classifying it as a difficult-to-machine material.
