The method of stacking fishway blocks in an oval shape allows for a significant reduction in land area.
■The method of stacking fishway blocks in an oval shape significantly reduces the site area. ■The product shapes used for the curved and straight sections are standardized, which enhances workability. ■By creating a track shape with straight sections between the semicircular parts, it facilitates a pool flow condition that makes it easier for fish to ascend. ■The gradient of the fishway has the semicircular return section at level and the straight ascending section at a gentle slope of 1/10, improving ascent efficiency compared to a circular shape. ■The partition walls utilize an ice harbor method that accommodates small fish species. ■By rounding the overflow section of the partition wall, it creates a submerged flow that is easier for fish to ascend. ■Overflowing at the fishway outlet section adjusts the flow rate of the fishway. ■Light windows are installed to ensure adequate illumination.
