This product combines three types of citrus fruits: green mikan (Ehime Prefecture), green ponkan (Ehime Prefecture), and green hassaku (Wakayama Prefecture), concentrated and formulated into a single pellet. Green mikan and green ponkan are rich in polyphenols such as hesperidin and naringin. Hesperidin is expected to suppress excessive permeability caused by allergic reactions, potentially preventing symptoms of hay fever such as runny nose. Naringin is said to have a calming effect on allergies by suppressing the inflammation of mast cells that release histamine. Green hassaku contains different polyphenols from the two mentioned above, which are said to have anti-allergic, whitening, and antioxidant effects.
