Somalite (Dainichi Seikan) offers a lineup of Somalite POM and Somalite W. Somalite POM is an engineering plastic material made from acetal resin homopolymer, widely used in various fields for machining applications, including gears and AV equipment. On the other hand, Somalite W is a molded material made from ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE), exhibiting extremely high values in properties such as wear resistance, impact resistance, low-temperature resistance, and stress cracking resistance, with applications including bearings and gears. Additionally, Dainichi Seikan also offers a more affordable lineup called Delight POM (an engineering plastic material made from acetal resin copolymer). *Please check the introduction page for Delight POM as well.
