Types of general-purpose plastics include: PVC (polyvinyl chloride), PS (polystyrene), ABS, AS, PMMA (acrylic), PE (polyethylene), PP (polypropylene), etc. The representative general-purpose plastics that are particularly produced and consumed in large quantities are commonly referred to as the "five major general-purpose plastics": PVC, PE (HD-PE, LD-PE), PS, and PP.
