The "2D Video Distrometer (2DVD)" is an optical distrometer developed by JOANNEUM RESEARCH in Austria. By measuring and processing precipitation particles with two cameras from a lateral perspective, it can precisely measure the long and short axes (flatness ratio) of raindrops and snowflakes.
