Moxa's "TCF-90 Series" is a compact media converter that transmits RS-232 signals over fiber optic cables. By using a serial port or external power supply, the transmission distance of RS-232 can be extended up to 5 km with multimode fiber and up to 40 km with single-mode fiber.
