Toxic gas and respiratory distress risk prevention during a fire - Smoke mask for evacuation during a fire.
AKS/OPT Fire Evacuation Smoke Mask
For managing the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning and respiratory distress during fire evacuation. A safe and quick evacuation is possible with a face-adhering, one-touch wet mask.
In recent years, there have been incidents where many lives have been lost due to arson, and this product was adopted with the hope of reducing casualties during fire evacuations. The risks associated with smoke during a fire are as follows: - The speed at which smoke from a fire spreads is faster than one might imagine. It rises vertically at 3 to 5 meters per second (180 to 300 meters per minute) and spreads horizontally at 0.5 to 1 meter per second (30 to 60 meters). - Carbon monoxide from incomplete combustion can cause poisoning. - As oxygen levels decrease, it can lead to difficulty breathing, restricting physical movement. - Inhaling hot smoke can burn the airways and lungs, causing respiratory distress.
