[To Safety Driving Managers] Mandatory alcohol checks for company vehicle use!!

We will reduce the burden on safety driving managers due to the obligation of alcohol checks resulting from the revision of the Road Traffic Act!

For businesses that own vehicles that fall under the categories listed below, it will be mandatory for the safety driving manager to conduct alcohol checks on drivers. - Possession of at least one vehicle with a seating capacity of 11 or more - Possession of five or more other vehicles (including trucks) * Motorcycles over 50cc and other vehicles will be counted as 0.5 vehicles. From April to October 2022, it will be mandatory to record the following daily and keep the records for one year: - Names of the driver and the verifier - Vehicle registration number or identifiable symbols/numbers used by the driver - Date and time of verification, and method of verification (in-person or phone confirmation, etc.) - Presence or absence of alcohol - Other necessary information Additionally, from October onwards, the following items will also be added: - Use of an alcohol detector specified by the National Public Safety Commission - Keeping the alcohol detector in a constantly operational state All of these will be obligations for the safety driving manager, so this will serve as a solution to reduce their burden as much as possible.
