USB Power Delivery Analyzer USB-PDA
USB Power Delivery Analyzer USB-PDA TP350110 handled by Tanino Denno Co., Ltd.
The USB Power Delivery Analyzer USB-PDA is a professional tool that allows for custom application development in addition to the included GUI.
The performance of Total Phase's USB-PDA, highly regarded as a USB Power Delivery analyzer, is not limited to decoding the CC line of USB PD3.0 or simple voltage/current measurement functions. Since it is designed to be inserted in the middle of the signal line, it is carefully designed to minimize impact on high-speed communication, resulting in a very small size. Although the specifications do not mention its use on a 20Gbps communication line, its small size is advantageous. The included GUI software is available for Windows, Linux, and Mac (including M1 models). It not only displays data sequentially while capturing a large amount of it in host memory but also allows for live searching and filtering during capture. This GUI software, Data Center, is also used with Total Phase's Beagle USB Analyzer, Beagle I2C/SPI, as well as Komodo CAN Analyzer and Promra eSPI Analyzer. For debugging rare events or for integration into inspection devices, there is the advantage of being able to create custom applications using the API.

Applications/Examples of results
Since its release in 2015, it has been a long-selling product shipped worldwide as a USB PD 3.0 protocol analyzer. One unique use case from a user is utilizing it not as a USB PD 3.0 device, but simply as a logger to monitor voltage/current below 20V. It requires the use of a conversion board for the Type C connector (available in stock at Tateno Denno). Its strengths include the ability to capture data for a considerable amount of time in the excellent GUI Data Center on a PC's memory, real-time waveform display during capture, compatibility with multiple operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), support for Macs with M1 chips, and the ability to create custom applications via API.
