The "Baguette shelf," named after the processing technique used for gemstones like diamonds, is a shelf composed of straight lines. The thin top plate, which is bent at an angle, features a distinctive yet understated simple silhouette that enhances the appeal of the items placed on it. The top plate made from steel sheets used in construction maximizes the charm of iron, creating beautiful shadows. It is composed of minimal parts, allowing for easy assembly and connection with its simplified minimal structure. Our company is engaged in the architectural sheet metal industry in Yanai City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. The lifestyle brand "Fulcrum" was created by combining the architectural sheet metal technology of Morimoto Co., Ltd. with the design of product designer Hiroyuki Ikeuchi. The products, conceived under several constraints, feature a refined design and processing that eliminates waste. We perceive the constraints arising from our processing as "primary elements" and challenge ourselves to find design solutions that effectively showcase them.
