Getac was established in 1989 as a supplier to the U.S. military through a partnership between GE Aerospace and MiTAC. For over 30 years, it has been designing, manufacturing, and selling PCs for defense applications, and has been adopted by the Australian Army, the German Army, and others. Additionally, as a member of the MiTAC-Synnex group, Getac has been able to maintain a stable production system through internal component supply, even amid the current semiconductor shortage. Furthermore, it has established a dedicated production line in Taiwan that considers the risk of information leakage for defense purposes. All Getac products meet at least 10 or more of the MIL standards set by the U.S. Department of Defense. These products feature not only environmental performance but also unique technologies like QuadraClear, which enhances display functionality with brightness and anti-reflection, glove mode for touch screens, and convenient features such as one-button screen lock, making them easy to use in the field. Regarding warranties, all products come with a basic three-year warranty, which can be extended. Additionally, repairs for failures due to human accidents are provided free of charge once a year. With a repair center located in Japan, Getac ensures prompt service.
