**Why Measure Human Posture and Movement?** Whether the objects people commonly handle are easy or difficult to use is unconsciously reflected in their posture and movements. Conversely, those who regularly engage in physical training exhibit the effects of that training in their walking posture. **Why Measure Without Markers?** A depth camera captures data on the entire body shape of a person (surface point cloud data). However, this data alone does not provide information about joint positions. By overlaying this data with a standard human model of similar height, it is possible to determine joint positions. This is how posture and movement can be assessed without markers.
