Photochromic Sunglasses【Trimble HoloTint】

This is a dedicated accessory for the Trimble XR10 and HoloLens 2 that uses photochromic lenses to adjust the tint in response to light intensity.

The Trimble XR10 and HoloLens 2, which overlay digital content onto the real world, use see-through holographic lenses that are significantly affected by surrounding brightness, making it difficult to see digital content at times. Trimble addresses this issue by incorporating photochromic lenses in the sunglass-style accessory Trimble HoloTint, which senses the amount of ultraviolet light in the environment and adjusts brightness, enabling device use independent of environmental conditions. ■ Photochromic/Phototropic (Adjustable Lenses) This accessory features photochromic lenses. They have a special coating that darkens the lenses according to the surrounding ultraviolet light levels, automatically adjusting the tint level based on light intensity. ■ Lens Density In dark or normally lit environments, the visible light transmission (VLT) is adjusted between 45.2%, and in bright environments, it can be adjusted to a maximum of 11.0%. ■ Tint Adjustment Speed The tint adjustment speed for the lenses is approximately 30 seconds when moving from dark to bright environments and about 90 seconds when moving from bright to dark environments.
