Remote Monitoring & Control of River Basins: IoT Gate Management System Using 5G/Wi-Fi/AI-Compatible Edge AI Computers
Advantech co-exhibited with our eco-partner, J-Fills Co., Ltd., at "Ecotechno 2022," held from July 6 (Wednesday) to July 8 (Friday) at the West Japan General Exhibition Center (Kokura, Fukuoka Prefecture). Continuing from last year, we showcased various demonstrations of the IoT system (Phase 3) developed through the collaborative research project "Onga River IoT Sluice Gate Management System," which aims to address social issues in Nōgata City, Fukuoka Prefecture, through industry-academia-government collaboration. We also presented various demos of the edge AI program developed in collaboration with the Kyushu University programming circle GLEAP. 【System Overview】 1. IoT Sluice Gate Management System (equipped with Advantech edge computer) 2. Simple electrification system for manual sluice gates (J-Fills "Rakusho") 3. AI application for measuring distances between people (Kyushu University GLEAP) 4. Animal recognition AI application for dogs, cats, and mice (Kyushu University GLEAP) with two-factor authentication using face + α / FaceView AI application (Kyushu University GLEAP) 5.
