[Experimental Method] In a laser hardening process with a width of 100mm, we investigated the differences that appear when S50C and SCM440 are hardened under the same conditions. Laser hardening was performed on a workpiece measuring 250mm × 150mm × 20mm under the same conditions, and after cutting the central part, the depth of the hardened layer was examined.
