"MAT21" is a brand steel from Hitachi Metals, offering corrosion resistance that surpasses Inconel and Hastelloy, particularly in high-temperature environments. Currently, the semiconductor manufacturing equipment industry is focusing on this metal. It possesses greater resistance than Hastelloy and Inconel against high-purity hydrogen fluoride and chlorine-based gases and solutions required for semiconductor manufacturing. While Hastelloy is a representative of difficult-to-machine materials, MAT21 is even more challenging to machine. Our company has already established processing know-how and is prepared for mass production, currently capable of producing several thousand units per month.
