The person in charge of wastewater treatment at the food processing plant reported challenges such as "high SS (suspended solids) concentration in the wastewater from the food processing plant, leading to a high load on the subsequent biological treatment" and "bulking caused by the proliferation of filamentous fungi, making it difficult for sludge to settle and aggregate." In response, we proposed adding the "Fine Arc-60," which can separate with a minimum opening of 20μm (0.02mm), after the conventional screen. After implementation, the reduction in SS concentration led to a decrease in bulking caused by the proliferation of filamentous fungi, stabilizing the wastewater treatment and making operational management easier.
