Case study of using drones for internal inspection of exhaust ducts | Inspection of areas that could not be seen.
Specialized for dark and narrow spaces! Achieving inspections of exhaust ducts that have not been seen before! [Hokuetsu Corporation]
At the Niigata factory of Hokuetsu Corporation, which produces various paper products, a consistent production process is carried out from wood chips to pulp and then to paper products. About 70% of the electricity and steam energy at this factory is obtained by burning black liquor, which is generated during the process of producing pulp from wood chips, in a recovery boiler. Black liquor is a biomass energy derived from wood, contributing to carbon neutrality through thermal recycling, and the Niigata factory produces paper products with 70% CO2 zero energy. The company is experimentally introducing "IBIS" for inspecting the exhaust duct of the recovery boiler. 【Case Overview】 ■ Client: Hokuetsu Corporation ■ Product Introduced: IBIS ■ Challenge: Cost and time constraints of scaffolding installed on the outside of the exhaust duct ■ Implementation Effect: Achieved inspection of the interior of the exhaust duct, which had not been possible before *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
