Even just 10 cm of flooding can make it difficult to open doors! An introduction to precipitation.
According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the amount of precipitation is expressed in millimeters (mm) as the depth of water that would accumulate if the rain did not flow away anywhere. Even a slight 10 cm of flooding can make it difficult to open doors, among other impacts. Water pressure can have a greater effect than one might expect. If the entrance is lower than the road, water is more likely to accumulate, leading to even greater impacts, and it could result in significant damage if water collects in underground parking lots. Make sure to regularly clean around car steps and drainage ditches.
