Introducing a case where the use of DI analysis in IE successfully achieved labor reduction in the water purification process.
We would like to introduce a case study utilizing the immediately deployable position and motion analysis tool "InQross Kaizen Maker" at an electrical equipment manufacturing factory. Is it possible to streamline the water-sampling task and reduce manpower? (We want to enhance productivity.) With InQross, we were able to perform DI analysis in Industrial Engineering, allowing us to collect data from water-sampling workers, analyze it, and successfully achieve manpower reduction (enhancement). 【Case Overview】 ■Analysis - Workers frequently went to the back of the warehouse to retrieve parts. - Parts were being transported frequently. - Two out of five workers were experiencing excessive workload (walking three times more than the other three). ■Improvements - Changed the layout to reduce movement. - Altered the method of parts supply. - Eliminated workload imbalances and leveled the work distribution. ■Results - Reduced the number of water-sampling workers from six to five (enhanced one worker). *For more details, please download the catalog.
