Case 3: Trivalent Chromium Conversion Treatment for Aluminum Die Casting Material (Alozin Alternative) ■ Automotive Parts Die Casting Company N As part of a cost reduction plan for products that were anodized for corrosion resistance (rust prevention) on aluminum die casting materials, we proposed a trivalent chromium conversion treatment (Alozin alternative) for aluminum die casting. Since the condition was to clear the JIS neutral salt spray test with a rating number (RN) of 9.5 for 72 hours, we conducted a trial production for evaluation. It cleared without any issues, leading to mass production due to the specification change.
