In shipbuilding welding operations, the panels are aligned according to the CAD data from the design drawings, and welding is performed by robots. At this time, the challenge is whether the additional panels can be accurately transported to the positions specified in the CAD data relative to the reference panel. With the introduction of the software "SKYCOM" for alignment, it is possible to check the current position in real-time against the CAD data while transporting the panels. This process does not require much labor from preparation to position measurement and is compatible with large parts.
