A composite film primarily made of natural tamarind gum. It has an oxygen gas permeability equivalent to EVOH, along with edible and biodegradable properties.
MP Five Co., Ltd. has been importing tamarind gum for food and cosmetics for many years and is now considering the use of tamarind gum in the industrial sector to realize an "environmentally friendly society." Tamarind gum composite materials possess the biodegradability of CNF and the edible characteristics of tamarind gum. Utilizing these features, applications such as edible inks and paper coatings as coating liquids, as well as edible films and biodegradable sheets, are expected. In light of recent environmental initiatives, we aim to leverage our strength in the development of thickening polysaccharides to introduce tamarind gum composite materials across various industries. **Features of Tamarind Seed Gum** - Anionic polysaccharides derived from tamarind seeds - Main chain consists of glucose, with side chains of xylose and galactose - Molecular weight of approximately 470,000 - Excellent heat and acid resistance - Film-forming properties - Gas barrier properties (equivalent to EVOH) - Upcycled raw material and edible - Biodegradable material *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*
