The drainage system is unable to keep up, and the roads are flooded... Precautions to take when moving during a flood.
Check in advance! Flood damage can be minimized by taking preventive measures beforehand.
When there is a lot of rainfall, the drainage system may not keep up, leading to road flooding. During evacuations in floods, many people may move through water wearing rubber boots, but in reality, when moving in water, rubber boots can fill with water, become heavy, and are more likely to come off, making them dangerous. When moving through water deep enough to submerge rubber boots during flood evacuations, it is advisable to wear sneakers or trekking shoes that can be tied with laces. Flooding, which can occur anywhere at any time, is a disaster that can be minimized through prior preparation. Be sure to check the hazard maps and evacuation locations provided by local governments, install flood barriers at underground entrances and in front of elevators, and take measures against flooding in grating areas, as well as confirm the actions to take during a disaster in advance. *For more details, you can view the related links on the blog.
