Introducing a case where the operating rate of machinery was improved by 10% using the M-M chart of IE.
We would like to introduce a case study utilizing the position and motion analysis tool "InQross Kaizen Maker" at a precision metal processing factory. Operators handling multiple machines find the order of machine inspections to be crucial. If the inspection order is random, machine downtime increases, leading to a decrease in operational efficiency. We want to analyze and improve this using the M-M (Man-Machine) chart from Industrial Engineering (IE). While we can obtain machine operation data, the position information of the operators is handwritten and therefore inaccurate, causing the M-M chart to function poorly.
