By installing a small fish-eye lens camera with a downward angle on a vehicle and directing it towards the sky (vertically up), it becomes possible to capture the entire surroundings (360 degrees around the optical axis) and also to photograph areas lower than the camera, enabling the reading of license plates. High-resolution photography of the sky is also possible, greatly expanding the range and applications for capturing images of the sky ratio in urban areas, clear weather rates, the tops of high-rise buildings, utility poles, and other structures. Additionally, image development software is standardly equipped, allowing for the importation of captured images and their display in an easily viewable flat format. The circular image from the fish-eye lens shows the sky in the center with 360 degrees of surrounding imagery displayed around it. Since it can be difficult to understand where everything is located in the image without familiarity, software that allows for easy flat development is necessary. Unlike other companies that offer expensive software, our company provides standard software that can optimally develop images from our specially designed fish-eye lens, allowing for immediate use.

Instead of compositing multiple camera images, we capture all-around footage with a single camera, which eliminates the need for compositing processing time and ensures there are no seams in the footage, greatly enhancing its value as evidence in cases such as accidents. Additionally, with typical fisheye lenses, the image becomes distorted at the edges, resulting in reduced resolution, so the area that appears clear (field of view) is limited to the central part of the lens. The fisheye lens mounted on our vehicle-mounted 360° camera maintains high resolution even at the edges, allowing for high-resolution capture of the entire 360 degrees horizontally when the camera is installed facing upwards (optical axis: vertical). Furthermore, by tilting the camera downwards, it can also capture areas below (behind) the reference plane of the lens, enabling wide-angle shooting.
