High sensitivity mV, DC 4-20mA, 0-1V output, level gauge, with shielding plate.
High sensitivity mV, DC 4-20mA, 0-1V output, with level gauge and shielding plate. It measures illuminance (lux), defined as the ratio of luminous flux (lumens) incident on a surface to the unit area (m²). The spectral response curve of the photometric measurement probe approximates the standard photopic response curve V(λ), which is known as the response curve of the human eye. The difference in the standard photopic response curve V(λ) in the spectral response is calculated as error f'1. It has a robust structure, designed for long-term outdoor use, and is primarily used for meteorological measurements in daylight.

basic information
■Operating Principle The MC8PHOT-13NS is based on a semiconductor sensor, and its spectral response is corrected by a filter to match the response of the human eye. Figure 1 shows the representative spectral sensitivity. To protect the sensor from the external environment, the MC8PHOT-13NS is equipped with a transparent glass dome with a diameter of 50mm. Cosine correction is achieved through a PTFE diffuser and a unique case shape, resulting in good response. The difference between the theoretical response and the actual response is shown in Figure 2. Thanks to its excellent cosine correction, the MC8PHOT-13NS can be used even when the solar elevation angle is low.
