The IC-D70 PLUS is a digital simple radio registered station (new wave compatible product) manufactured by Icom. The supported channels increase by 52 channels for the new wave, in addition to the existing 30 channels of digital simple radio. Furthermore, the number of upper air channels increases from 5 to 10 channels compatible with the new wave, totaling 15 channels. *Upper air channels are for receiving only. *There are no changes to functions or performance other than for the new wave. It is equipped with a GPS receiver that can receive the location information of the communication partner's radio and display on the screen how far away and in which direction they are. It features a loudspeaker with a volume of 800mW, making it easy to hear even in noisy environments. When charging BP-290/BP-294 with the separately sold charger BC-225 or the 6-way rapid charger BC-226, it has a function that automatically starts recharging when the fully charged battery's voltage drops due to natural discharge. With the GPS unit, it can display and transmit its own location information (latitude/longitude).
