Our factory operates as a "Carbon Zero Print Factory" utilizing 100% renewable energy, achieving virtually zero CO₂ emissions for Scope 1 and 2. The printed materials produced at our factory are environmentally friendly prints, and we can provide CO₂ emission data sheets with calculated CO₂ reduction values for each project, as well as issue carbon offset certificates. Additionally, as a member of the Japan Sustainable Printing Association, we are able to display a mark that certifies environmentally friendly printing.

In August 2023, the Kenbunsya Amagasaki Factory was awarded the highest honor, the "Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award," at the 21st Printing Industry Environmental Excellence Awards. The "Printing Industry Environmental Excellence Awards" is a recognition system established in 2002 by the Japan Printing Industry Association, with the support of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, aimed at promoting corporate efforts to address environmental issues in the printing industry and improving the environment of printing factories. The Amagasaki Factory has previously received the "Chairman's Award" in 2018 and the "Director-General of the Commerce and Information Policy Bureau Award" from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in 2019. However, we did not stop there; in 2021, we switched to zero CO2 emission power sources, and in 2023, we enabled the calculation and offsetting of CO2 emissions per printed item, making progress toward decarbonization. We believe that receiving the "Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award" this time reflects the recognition of our commitment to these efforts. Kenbunsya will continue to promote environmental measures without becoming complacent with the current situation.
