Detects unbridged water trees safely at a DC voltage of 1000V. Over 800 diagnostic results!
In addition to high-voltage CV cables that have been installed for a long time, there has been an increase in accidents caused by water trees in relatively new CV cables (refer to the graph "Number of cascading accidents due to insulation degradation of high-voltage incoming cables in the Kinki region (quoted from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's power safety site)"). ○ At JFE Plant Engineering, we diagnose the detection of unbridged water trees, which has been difficult with conventional insulation resistance measurements and direct current leakage current methods, using the IRC (Isothermal Relaxation Current) method. ○ In addition to estimating the insulation breakdown voltage, we analyze the degradation state based on a database. Example: Six years after a danger assessment, insulation breakdown occurred (11kV CV-3C 325sq buried for 40 years). ○ We also simultaneously check the integrity of the core wire and shielding layer to evaluate the overall reliability of the cable.
