DISTORUN(R) is a foil feeding unit for flexographic printing machines. It enables cold foil transfer of single-pattern holograms.
DISTORUN(R) is a compact cold foil transfer unit designed for installation on the rail system of flexographic printing machines. This unit operates independently and does not require integration with the control system of the flexographic printing machine. By reading the printing speed of the flexographic printing machine with the rotary encoder of DISTORUN(R), it enables foil transfer that follows the printed substrate. The timing of the foil feed is controlled by DISTORUN(R), allowing a single-pattern hologram to be transferred to any desired location. The DISTORUN(R) module is equipped with state-of-the-art servo control technology and a software program capable of precise positioning control on the foil feed side. Sensors detect marks on both the transfer foil and the printing cylinder, allowing for accurate alignment. During cold foil transfer, there may be areas where the foil material is left unused depending on the printing layout. With the DISTORUN(R) module, it is possible to realign the foil that has been used and wound up to the areas where foil remains, allowing for its reuse. This means that transfer foil, which was previously discarded after one use, can now be utilized fully, contributing to environmental measures and cost reduction.
