Integration features with MES systems compatible with the international standard OPC UA.
Exhibiting at Nepcon 2024 from January 24! Achieving interoperability between industrial equipment and MES systems!
OPC UA (OPC Unified Architecture) is an open international standard developed for safe and reliable data exchange in industries such as industrial automation. It was announced by the OPC Foundation in 2008 and later standardized as IEC62541. It allows for secure and highly reliable data exchange across different types of devices, operating systems, and manufacturers, making it recommended as the standard communication for Industrie 4.0 and increasingly adopted worldwide. Additionally, it is aligned with the international standard for PLCs, IEC61131-3, which provides the advantage of reliably exchanging information from the manufacturing site with higher-level monitoring control systems and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). In response to this trend, Takaya has prepared an option to equip the APT series of flying probe testers with an OPC UA server. We are working to promote the spread of industrial IoT standards that bridge FA equipment and IT.

Applications/Examples of results
Benefits obtained by linking with the MES system: 1: Real-time monitoring of tester operation status, understanding of operating rates, and improvement of productivity. 2: Inspection only at specified locations or groups, reducing inspection time and minimizing operational errors. 3: Automatic changes to inspection content based on defect rates, improving inspection efficiency. 4: Reading serial numbers with an attached camera to change inspection content, enhancing inspection efficiency through automatic control. 5: Changing inspection content based on the inspection results of previous processes, eliminating the need for external device connections.

Company information
Founded in 1894 as a textile company, Takaya Textile expanded and established its electronics division in 1966, beginning the assembly of transistor radios. Currently, in addition to contract manufacturing services (EMS) related to electronic devices, the company actively manufactures and sells in-circuit testers (printed circuit board inspection devices), RFID-related equipment (technology that enables information exchange through short-range wireless communication from IC information tags), and engages in IT consulting and system solutions, among various electronics businesses both domestically and internationally. We will continue to evolve as a corporate group that contributes to the development of society, with textiles and electronics as our two pillars.
