This is a pre-hardened steel of the free-cutting type for high-performance, precision plastic molds. It has been heat-treated to a hardness of 37-43 HRC (surface guaranteed), allowing it to be used directly after machining. It has excellent mirror polishing properties and good machinability due to the addition of free-cutting elements.
