How will we respond to telework, which will become the norm after COVID-19?

Introducing systems and initiatives we want to adopt to promote telework in a column!

In response to the declaration of a state of emergency and the request for people to refrain from going out, telework rapidly advanced, particularly in urban areas. You may be aware that among the companies continuing telework even after the declaration was lifted, there are movements to eliminate office spaces. For example, "ClipLine," which provides a video-sharing platform to solve communication challenges, reportedly submitted a notice to terminate the lease for its headquarters office at the end of April 2020. After the state of emergency was declared, nearly all of the company's approximately 50 employees transitioned from existing office work to telework. Many employees cited the benefit of saving time not only on commuting but also on getting ready, prompting the company to indicate its intention to continue this practice even after the pandemic subsides.
