In online water analysis, the filtration of samples often places a significant burden on the system, so it is essential that the analysis system has high availability and low maintenance needs, as well as guarantees defined and consistent filter characteristics. The LFE USR-F filter system helps meet these requirements by using filter elements in a cross-flow configuration. The filter elements are irradiated at adjustable intervals and durations using ultrasonic energy. The ultrasonic generator creates cavitation in the sample water, which acts as the coupling medium. The collapse of a vast number of tiny cavitation bubbles provides the well-known excellent cleaning effect associated with this method. The particles dislodged from the filter elements are carried away by the main sample flow. The filtered sample can be continuously extracted from the cleaned filter elements by the connected analysis device, significantly reducing maintenance and extending the lifespan. The LFE sample filter consists of a corrosion-resistant filter unit that includes an ultrasonic transducer and a control unit equipped with time-controlled or remote-controlled ultrasonic generators.
