Hallite's OptiSeal VSC is a spring-loaded internal pressure seal. It features a U-shaped seal jacket that incorporates a V-shaped corrosion-resistant metal spring. When there is no load or at low pressure, it provides the necessary spring load to the seal lip, creating the appropriate contact surface pressure. As the operating pressure increases, it acts on the sealing performance at high pressure by receiving the system pressure in the U-shaped area. The standard material is a high-performance seal jacket material based on PTFE.
