Until now, hexavalent chromium has been considered an indispensable substance in resin plating manufacturing, but due to its toxicity, it is predicted that it will no longer be usable in the plating process in the future. Kakihara Industries has been mass-producing trivalent chromium plating for over 20 years, with the aim of enhancing dark and luxurious design aesthetics. Recently, as the use of hexavalent chromium is being restricted from an environmental impact reduction perspective, there has been an increasing demand to use trivalent chromium plating not for design enhancement but for environmental compliance. The silver-toned trivalent chromium plating that our company has traditionally offered is widely used in extremely cold regions due to its excellent resistance to de-icing salt corrosion, but it has been characterized by a slightly yellow-black hue.
